Following the success of “Meteo.gr” the iPhone weather app of the popular weather website, Cambo Industries and the National Observatory of Athens decided to extend their partnership with a new mobile application, Meteo.gr Sail.

Cambo designed and developed the Meteo.gr Sail app for iOS and Android devices.
CHALLENGE
Creating a specialized app that would serve the needs of sailing fans and anyone interested in the weather conditions of the Greek coasts.
SOLUTION
Cambo designed an application for everyone involved in sailing and any other marine related activity. A new map displays all the Greek marine areas, while a single press on the screen presents an advanced detailed layout with information such as Wind Direction, Wind Speed, Air Pressure and Temperature information. GPS tracking functionality has also been implemented so that the user can quickly locate his whereabouts on the weather map.
The app currently supports five languages: English, Greek, Italian, French and Turkish.
