With its unique and diverse geographical terrain and meteorological conditions, Greece was in need of a dedicated weather app. Cambo Industries approached the most reliable source of meteorological information, the National Observatory of Athens to provide a version of the most successful Greek weather forecast website, meteo.gr.
OUR ROLE
Cambo designed and developed the Meteo.gr iPhone app, followed by an Android version.
CHALLENGE
Creating a fast, miniaturized version of meteo.gr for the iPhone that would always display up to date information and weather forecasts.
SOLUTION
Cambo developed an interactive map, where the user can quickly preview a six day forecast for the entire country. Detailed area lists were included as an alternative search option, while specialized sections allow users to quickly look at very specific weather forecasts, be it the upcoming weather at ski resorts, marine areas or national highways. Advanced personalization options were also developed – users can arrange the app’s front menu to their liking or add specific locations to their favorites.
